Frequently Asked Questions

1. What ages do you serve?

We focus on early intervention. Therefore, we focus on children ages 1-8 years.

2. Where does therapy take place?

Primarily, therapy is conducted at our clinic location. Dependent upon the individual needs of the child, therapy can also be conducted within their daycare, pre-school or private primary school. For older children needing work on their social skills, therapy is held within our clinic during after school hours. Sessions currently held at home are done in order to provide parent support and continuity of therapy outcomes.

3. "Do you accept insurance?"

Yes. We currently accept Anthem, Aetna, Optum (community only at this time) and Cal Optima.

4. "I do not have that insurance, do you accept private pay?"

Yes. Please inquire for rates.

5. "Does my child need a diagnosis for services?"

Not necessarily. Many can benefit from ABA whether or not diagnosed. For ABA services, insurances require a diagnosis to receive insurance benefits. Due to high cost of ABA services, most families prefer to use their insurance benefits especially if hours are intensive.

6. "When are you offering social skills groups and would my child qualify?"

This depends upon various factors such as what children are available and also needing social skills practice.

...would my child qualify for social skills group?

In order to best serve children, we have to intake different children within a similar age-range and who need practice of similar skills. Children who are typically best suited for our social skills groups are doing generally well across other areas of their lives such as daily living skills (as age appropriate), academic skills, and some general behavioral/emotional regulation. Should your child require more significant support, please inquire about our direct therapy service options.

"When is social skills group?"

Often this starts with families with interest who are willing to go through an evaluation process and potentially be placed on a waiting list until we can match their child with similar peers in order to form a group. If a group is already formed and if there is room, your child may be eligible to do a trial with the group before deciding whether it is in the best interest of the child (and group) to continue to participate. Please contact us to verify if a social skills has been set up at this time or if you would like for your child to be considered for participation.

7. "If I already use my insurance to receive ABA at another agency can I use my insurance for social skills groups at Ready 2 Learn ABA?"

No. Unfortunately insurance does not allow this. If your child receives ABA services elsewhere private pay for social skills group may be your best option or we may work with you to provide your direct ABA services if you chose.
